I have a friend who is an insurance actuary, he studies statistic of his company's insured & then reports the results to the underwriting dept. We were talking just 2 wks ago & he said that those drivers, male & female, between the ages of 18-51 cause the most fatal/serious accidents, with a "large percentage" due to DUI. The next highest category for cause of an accident was drivers who were using mobile phones to text & talk while driving. I'll let the numbers speak for themselves, but I will say this: the world's most dangerous driver is an old man wearing a hat. Especially those in Lafayette.
