Is Bapple staying away from this one?

I've just been busy today and haven't been on the board.

Bapple and I aren't very far apart on this issue, at least I don't think we are.

You're right on this one, Ace. I, like most other handgun shooters on this board, realize that all 3 accomplish the same task with very very minute differences in terminal performance. If someone chooses to shoot a 40 or 45 instead of a 9mm they won't necessarily be undergunned.

But since they all pretty much do the same thing (when choosing premium JHP rounds) I choose 9mm because I get the most ammo in my magazine and it's the easiest to control. I increase my chances of hitting the target and I increase my chances of hitting the target multiple times. And since I know handguns are simply a compromise compared to a rifle or shotgun, I would rather have as much ammo at my disposal as possible.

How many rounds will it take to end the fight? 6? 10? 12? 17? I have no idea - that's why I like having as many as possible.

I've never heard a real account of a defensive shooting and heard the person say "I really wish I had fewer rounds."

People who believe what they see in Hollywood think one handgun round (from the big 3) is sufficient. But we know better than that.

So when discussing the big 3, I'll take the 9mm.

Blonde, brunette, redhead. Three great choices. The one you are with at the time will work!!
