Just damn.

PALOS VERDES PENINSULA, Calif. — A 5-year-old California girl was paralyzed from the waist down after performing a backbend in on her living room floor.
Eden Hoelscher suffered a traumatic spinal injury while doing a backbend on the living room floor inside her home just before Christmas. Eden collapsed and told her mom, “I feel like my feet are sleeping.”

Doctors are not able to explain how the simple backbend paralyzed the girl. Eden now uses a wheelchair to get around. Despite all this, her mother says Eden “has not changed throughout this whole ordeal.”
Eden earned the nickname “Daredevil Eden” from her physical therapists because of her determination to overcome her injuries, her mom wrote.
Just damn.

Great, thanks for the depressing story.

I'm happy that girl is keeping a good attitude. Hope she walks again.

Be careful, kids.
My cousin Billy Ray crossed his eyes on a dare when he was 5, and they have been stuck like that for 37 years.

Yeah, maybe I'm just too hypersensitive to it, but I feel like anytime the tragic death/injury of a child occurs in the USA, someone's gonna tell the OT about it.

Very sad. My 6-year-old does gymnastics and this kind of thing goes through my head from time to time.
