Who, on LSU's team, would you say is chalant?

He has constantly clashed with Ben and rarely allows him to be Ben.
The issue with this team has a lot to do with Ben. Just because he's projected to be the first pick everyone ignores his deficient play this year.
1) Ben should be on the block majority of the time. Not playing point. When he's on the block it allows leu to rebound better as well as have a post option on penetration. LSU scored a lot of points in the paint this game because Ben was down low helping victor.
2) Ben's interior defense has been poorest much of the season. When he brings his aggression down low, lsu is a different team. Less dunks by the other team, less non contested layup, overall better defense. There is a reason leu won. Check the fg %, rebounding, and points allowed in their wins. It's because of interior defense. When Ben plays AAU ball we lose all those stats and lose the game most times.
3) When Ben is a dominate presence down low (not up top) it opens things up for the guards. they get open shots, open lanes due to double teams etc. When he is not, we are shooting contested shots.
Yes Tim Q has the ability to be a great player and difference maker. Yes he is frustrating at times. however, "letting Ben be Ben" has really hurt this team more than Tim Q being inconsistent. Ben needs to be on the block for this team. A post presence offensively and defensively. Letting Ben be Ben like AAU ball allows the other team to score 90 points. which we've seen a lot.

It is imperative for TQ and JG to play well if LSU is going to win.
We just have a limited roster with little depth.
I will say ER III gave us some decent minutes when we really needed it.
But back to TQ, he is what he is. But in order to win today our PG's must play well.
And I agree BS needs to be down low.

It is extremely frustrating as a fan to watch inconsistent play and effort.
I can tolerate inconsistent play if the effort is there. Inconsistent effort I just can't understand. And we've seen it more this year than in any I can remember from an LSU team. TQ has been the poster boy for it but he's far from the only offender.
Even yesterday the effort seemed to ebb and flow. I just wish we could get past this flaw and if we bust it for 40 minutes on both ends and lose I'd still be disappointed but I could live with that as a die-hard hoops fan.

I agree. For some reason coaches seem to let Ben do what he likes, quite often. It's been a frustrating season for our "actual" point guards because no one knows who is actually running the point half the time. I've seen the guards just not know where to be when Ben decides he's bringing the ball down. They hesitate. We have no real offence and that makes it worse.
When he's down low, he gets into position to receive a pass, but the guards either can't get him the pass in tight quarters, or are unwilling to.
Morale is low and Ben wanting to be Lebron is part of it, I think.

I have never understood the hate for TQ.

The TQ attitude/ chemistry is a whole lot of what I hear about when it come s to explanations for the team's poor play.
The other thing, of course, is poor coaching.
