All, if not most, of the schools in south louisiana are a joke. The academies,lab schools, and other private schools should play in a separate league. like they do in most states. Schools like Arcadia,in towns less than 3,000 people, are at a distinct disadvantage but still find away to compete with the schools that literally recruit like a college.

To be fair, vast majority of private schools can't compete against schools like this. LCA destroyed every 1A private school they played this year.

The privates in other states play in separate leagues on their own choosing because they can't compete with the publics. If the publics could provide an education worth a damn, this wouldn't be a problem.

Because they run programs. They cultivate kids from youth leagues all the way through high school. They don't go out and cherry pick players from other areas to put together all star teams. Loureville for example, they have always had good football teams. That town is small as frick. Yet their football program is about as consistently stong as I've seen in my lifetime.
