Ascension Episcopal coach Eric Mouton has pointed to games against Lafayette Christian Academy in the past when expressing frustration with what he and others say is an imbalance of talent in the district. The Knights have won by an average of more than 50 points through the first five games of District 7-1A.

“That was a high school basketball team versus an AAU team,” Mouton said. “How could I not get frustrated? They’ve got kids from all over the state eligible today through arbitration that probably cost them $50,000 ... that’s a team that could beat UL.”

Louisville would beat LCA by 70. That is ridiculous.

LCA girls program must be taking notes from the boys. Have a couple of players now who didn't live in Lafayette, and have about 4 transfers lined up for next year. And the private schools wonder why the publics hate them.
