How can these guys in force laws everyday knowing they are criminals themselves? I would not be able to sleep.
If they are jailers, and that is what it sounds like, they are not enforcing laws they are basically babysitting prisoners.

I don't care what you believe. I was in Harris county jail in 2009 when the guards were averaging one death a week.I think they murdered 28 before the feds stepped in. So feel free to go frick yourself

Wrong. They get tons of overtime gigs, security deals, etc. They're sociopaths with almost unchecked authority that's why they abused prisoners. They probably got a year max when they plead guilty

I guarantee its widespread. Like that Warehouse Chicago PD used to torture suspected criminals.

We need to know what happen before they were busted before passing judgment. I would like to know if someone else caused them to do this.

Criminals don't have civil rights, they aren't citizens

I live in Iberia Parish. There indeed is too much smoke for there not to be some amount of fire. Truth is, our Sheriff has made alot of enemies, and ruled with an iron fist. His style is unpopular with half of the people here...that's why he almost lost re-election. He made degrading comments about his female opponent...and that made many unhappy. Many people will dance in the streets if this proves to be with merit.

Do you have a link to these 28 murders?

Abuse of power by any public official, at any level, should seriously be a capital offense with much, much harsher penalties and death penalty qualifications at a much lower threshold than used for civilians; also, they should be tried by a military tribunal with an accelerated trial process.

At another point during the shake down, Ackal allegedly encountered another inmate who had written letters complaining about the conditions of the jail, and told deputies to take him to the chapel.
I guess the chapel is the equivalent of The Hole in that place.

I'd like to think this isn't true,
I would too but I saw Iberia Parish and instantly knew it was.
