So I'm thinking about it....early Easter, mild winter and a warm start to spring. Will this produce a bumper crop this year? We've already had $2.49/lb. in Houston...not sure what tomorrow will bring.

The above average rainfall will extend the season. The prices will drop post-Easter as they always do and barring an unexpected drought, we should have a long season with affordable prices.

What is this doing for shrimp?

I leave the crawfish to the plebs.

The demand is growing too rapidly. I miss the old days when everyone outside of Louisiana thought crawfish were disgusting.

Depends on where you purchase them. You will be able to find cheap crawfish buying from producers. There will be tons of opportunity to bypass traditional retail avenues this year. After Easter you will able to buy cheap with a little effort.
