Best player I ever saw in an LSU uni as well.

Every kid in my second grade class wanted to be like #35.

I was a student his freshman year.
They weren't highly thought of that year.
First few games the PMAC was empty. Student section was sparse.
He lit up Fla for 53, you couldn't get a seat the rest of the year.

I went to Dale Brown's basketball camp the summer after CJs sophomore season. He had already announced he was leaving for the NBA. Shaq had just finished his freshman season. Every kid at that camp wanted to see CJ. No one really even talked much about Shaq. Crazy thinking back to that time.

CJ was the best college basketball player I've ever seen. Phil Jackson was spot on. Steph curry is what CJ could've been or was supposed to be.

When ESPN started the 30 for 30 series, I said they have to do one on Chris Jackson.

yes, technically this is true. But we can also offer our opinion and critique.

For example, I think Metta World Peace is a stupid name. Same for Ochocinco. Dumb as hell.

As am I...would have been wonderful.

As a 45 year old, the earlier poster is right. CJ was the greatest WE got to see wear the P&G.

I remember someone once describing the ability to close their eyes and picture Ted Williams' swing in their mind's eye. I understand that. I can do that with CJ's quick between the leg cross-over dribble and immediate jump shot from the top of the key.

An absolute thing of beauty...

CJ was definitely the best LSU Basketball player in college I have seen in my lifetime and I am 33. He was truly magical and a thing of beauty to watch.

Simply the best collegiate basketball player I have ever seen (with my own eyes) play the game.

One of a kind. He's a Pistol.

And what a great interview. Happy for him.

I also remember Ron Abernathy going to Biloxi to recruit him. Someone stole his briefcase with $20,000 cash and he reported it. Supposedly for "private business".

If it is, probably because of the personal/religious attacks a few posts above.

This!

Why allow some a-hole to derail a positive thread about an LSU legend?
