I saw every home game he played when I was at LSU. He sat next to me in an accounting class and we talked upcoming games. Awesome talent. Hated the floppy socks, but that was his "lucky" charm. Never had the talent around him to be a big winner. NIT his Sr year.
My first season to go to football games was 1958 as a 12 year old.
