Gardening question

I bought some Thai peppers online. The instructions were in Chinese. So I went by my usual pepper method. I planted the seeds in little starter pots and put them in a window that gets sun, watering just a tad every other day.
It's been 3 weeks. I should have germination but there are no sprouts. Are they bad seeds? Do they need more time to germinate? TIA.

I'd assume old/bad seeds at this point. I tend to start mine in moist paper towels in ziplocks on top of the fridge. Usually 3 weeks would mean they won't germinate.

FWIW...a lotta peppers (especially some of the superhots, Bhut, Trinidad Scorpion, etc) have very long germination times (up to 50 days) & specific soil temps (75+ degrees) that must be maintained. Google is prolly gonna be your friend here. Don't give up yet...

Two spouts are up today.
It took 3 weeks but at least I know it's not bad seeds.
Edit: No. 3 just came up. I feel like I'm giving birth!

Your arse hole is going to feel like it's breathing fire when you eat them.
Glad they popping up for you.

Thanks. I just counted 9 sprouts. I planted 2 seeds in 14 starter pots = 28. I made the mistake of taking them outside in the sunlight for a couple of hours. I forgot that taking them back in = bug issues. They will stay inside until permanently going out.
