Completely irrelevant. 45 wins last year wasn't a mirage, this team has the talent to be an upper 40 win team and get the 6-8 seed...Playing Montyball. Tyreke was part of last year's team gelling while Jrue missed games due to team mismanagement of his injury. Does Jrue missing last year's hot streak due to injury and Tyreke missing this year's abysmal start due to injury mean Tyreke > Jrue? Hardly, in fact a lot of the stats say they make each other better and had they both been healthy each would have more wins. You aren't really claiming that the team would have significantly less wins last year and miss the playoffs if Jrue had been healthy the whole season, are you? Because that seems to be one of the implications of your claims.
But again, what happened under Montyball is irrelevant. What matters now, assuming they won't fire Gentry, is who fits Gentryball. Tyreke is an iso player that likes to dribble and attack. Gentry wants the ball moving from player to player quickly. That doesn't make him a bad player, but it can make him a bad fit.

Of all the things for us to be pissed about this year and we choose the one bright spot outside of ad.
Jrue doesn't play interior defense, and that's been the bane of our existence this season.

Last night shows you how important asik is. It was ugly...

I do not disagree with the general premise of your point.
except how you discredit wins with Tyreke present and disregard the losses with Jrue. You can't do that. Isn't it quite possible that the winning and losing is directly related to these two gentleman either playing or not??? That is kind of my point you know...
But the facts remain, that for all of the "eliteness" of Jrue Holiday.... it has NEVER PRODUCED WINS.
Like - NEVER. Some people are just not winners.
I am not labeling Jrue as such at this point, but at the end of the day ----- there is only one thing that actually matters.....
And Jrue Holiday just doesn't add to that category..... for some strange reason.

he's a damn good defender.
He held GOATbrook to 23/9/10 this year. Last year Goatbrook ran buck wild on us without Jrue even with KD there.
48/9/11 on 15/28 shooting- with KD, without holiday
45/6/6 on 18/31 shooting- without KD and holiday
29/5/8 on 10/27 shooting- without KD, with Jrue
21/6/7 on 6/20 shooting - with KD and Jrue
2 games with Jrue: 25.0/5.5/7.5, 34 FG%
2 games without Jrue: 46.5/7.5/8.5, 56 FG%
that is a big difference.

Who calls him elite? The first few years he was here you couldn't have a Jrue Holiday thread without multiple people telling the board how average he is. He is a B across the board guy, not great at any one thing, but also not bad. The problem is people see PG next to his name and are disappointed that he isn't elite because of what it cost to acquire him. But if you ignore the sunk cost he has a very useful skill set.

Tyreke and Jrue have practically identical career Win Share per 48 numbers, .77 and .78 respectively. The last 3 years Jrue has been better than Tyreke.
Jrue
.064
.124
.096
Tyreke
.073
.082
.092
The sad thing is the league average is .100, so both are below average at contributing to wins.

Well when the starters are Cole BDJ and Dante then the replacement are Holiday and Ryan I would guess so.

Also, Hendo just completely owned this thread, crushed it.

You know how you guys always complain about Reke's usage? His highest usage here was at 23%, Jrue currently has a usage of 28% but Tyreke is a over dribbling ball hog.

Tyreke's USG% his 3 years here:
27.1->26.1->24.8
His AST% in comparison:
30.4->32.7->34.8
^ that makes sense
Jrue's USG%:
23.3->23.1->28.6
His AST% in comparison:
38.9->34.9->37.6
^ this is what we want tyreke to do.

To have a higher usage? Jrue passes more because he's a better passer but Tyreke is a better scorer and can carry the offensive load at time that Jrue cant.
