I am trying to get two sacks of crawfish around the Baton Rouge area this afternoon. Anybody have any crawfish sources? TIA

it was 2.99 in houma live the other day, and like 4.75 boiled.
everywhere around here has been pissing me off because no one has live, and anytime they get a few sacks they boil it and sell it

Doing a boil tomorrow. My buddy knows someone through his work that has some ponds in bourg. We are getting a 40 lb sack for around 100

How low will the price go if it is a good year?

I don't know, but last year there were signs all around Lafayette for $40 sacks which I didn't think was too bad.

That must have been at the end of the season when crawfish were rock hard.

Isn't that the truth. I called at least 15 places between Thibodaux, Raceland, Houma and Chauvin on Valentine's day. None had live crawfish most had boiled. I ended up boiling 25 pounds of 16-20 count shrimp. Believe it or not they were cheaper than some of the crawfish i was trying to locate.
