I just bought some NB Vazee Pace. They are ok. I bit too much shoe for me, but I've ran in them a couple of times on shorter runs with the wife.

Go to a running shoe store and ask them to help you out. Then go online and buy the same shoe for $30 less
. I never really put that much into my shoes. Then I ran a half marathon a few weeks ago. Had trained pretty hard so no muscle pain or anything. However, my knees were in a lot of pain after (IT band tightness). Went to a running store and picked up some Brooks Ghosts. Haven't had any issues since. They were like $120, but afterwards I found them online under $100 all over the place. Most running shoes are likely going to be in that range.
Nike Pegasus was another one I found comfortable and didn't look all that bad.
