I know Lafayette is hurting now & it is not just the oil field employees. This trickles down to a lot of other businesses, dentists always notice any slow down, restaurants, retail stores. Any business that gets any decent amount of trickle down monies gets hurt. So, those folks may well not renew. Too, many oil related companies use LSU tickets as marketing tools, so if they are short of cash, their clients will not be getting tickets from them. Houma, Thibodaux, Houma, all hot beds in the oil field are feeling it too.

I'm considering letting my tickets go and I haven't lost my job, yet... I'm just trying to be financially prudent. It was tough enough to make games with kids last season. I can watch games on TV and don't need to drive in from Texas. It sucks, but I'm certainly considering it. The next few months will dictate my decision.

Lafayette is hurting but the Cajuns sold out of season tickets in baseball this season - around 3,000 sold. LSU will be fine.

Apartment vacancies I checked in Lafayette are running between 20 and 40%.
Last year many had no vacancies.
