Good. It should be elevated. This will cut down on some of the people who shouldn't attend college to begin with.

I do think this is an issue.

It shouldn't just be "the next step" like a lot of students are treating it.

I think they should go out and find what they want to do prior to going into college. Some would do great in trade schools or getting associates to get to where they want...and then move up from there.


I say this out of love, and I have a right to say this...because I am in the trenches teaching students who definitely do want to better their lives with an education...and I've taught the others who, again, are doing it just as the next step.

My MCAT turned out much different than my ACT, but that was only after years of learning how to prepare for exams. I was in honors classes with 2 guys in high school who scored 32's on their ACTs but flunked out of LSU after their freshmen years.
