So SFP's message is unless you're perfect, don't be happy with who you are?
i believe we find happiness in getting as close to perfection as possible
think zen and the 8-fold path

Her message is being happy with who you are and all of your imperfections
we're not talking about being born with a disability and learning to become happy
we're talking about making poor choices and demanding that the results of such behavior be recognized as good (and normal)
that is a major problem and i completely reject such a philosophy. i don't believe in rewarding making poor decisions

If she were 600lbs you may have a point
she's now the symbol of success for all those 600 lb women who believe that they are normal and their choices aren't bad

if you're an athlete maybe, but we're talking about models

The ironing is not lost on me.

There's no way she could ever achieve the typical "model" figure.
this is just silliness. Show me one fat skeleton.
The issue isn't what she could be or is. It's just if she's comfortable with how she looks. If she is, then great. Doesn't mean you to be attracted to her or by the same measure shame her if you aren't.

well let me also reiterate
she's a model
her industry is being judged by her aesthetics
on a secondary note, she's become the face of the fat acceptance movement and that will only grow larger (pun intended)

Gotta wonder why some folks will shite on anything and whether they're just projecting their own insecurities over their unhappiness by coming down on her for being happy knowing she's not perfect.

By either standard, this chick's legs are I better shape than KU's

This chick could never be skinny.
why do people say this?
Weight is simply calories. If she ate 1000 calories a day she'd be rail thin inside a year. By no means does that mean she should be or would enjoy the process or the results but it is possible.
Posted on 2/14/16 at 3:15 pm to SlowFlowPro
quote:Quick wiki search, she was discovered at age 12. Not sure if it's been since that time, but apparently she's been a successful plus size model for probably 10 years, so...
yes with lots of help from SJWs

So you're saying she's lying about her happiness?
i think her body fat % confirms that fact
quote:
Or that only in shape people can be happy with their lives?
they can only find the most surface level, pavlovian sensory stimulation that they believe to be happiness
quote:
Do you give 100% max effort/never post on TD at your job?
i work for myself so any post i make is "on the job"
and i'm not happy (nor am i in shape)

I think you may be self-employed, but I'm guessing you've worked for someone at some point, same thing applies.
when i was employed, i was given tasks with deadlines. how i finish those tasks was up to me, and anything else didn't matter as long as i hit my deadlines

same thing

i think her body fat % confirms that fact

who gives a shite?
People who have body dysmorphia in any direction will never be satisfied no matter what the general consensus is about them personally or people their size in general.
Guaranteed there are many women her size who see this as empowering but will still wish to be instagram model size.
We don't have to be attracted to her. We don't have to give a shite at all honestly. None of us do. But if it makes one person feel more comfortable with themselves, then great.

Because in this case, it's true

theoretically was possible but i spaced out work, like i do now, to keep me engaged most days
i never took vacations or anything, either and i only got 17 days off (that includes 6 weekend days, so 11 work days) to study for the bar
