Will the Angels think about trading Mike Trout and what would it take?

From Keith law

I've been doing these rankings for eight years now, and this is by far the worst system I've ever seen. They traded their top two prospects in the Andrelton Simmons deal and had no one remotely close to top-100 status. They need a big draft this year to start to restock the system or we're going to start talking about whether it's time to trade Mike Trout.

We are obviously 5 to 6 years, minimum, before really discussing this but I think the discussion of what it would take to get him is interesting. I would tell the angels the entire organization outside of Kershaw is available

No they won't. Hard to even fathom what kind of package it could realistically take, it would obviously have to be young controllable ML talent plus big time prospects.
The Angels system is a steaming shite pile though

I don't think Seager + Urias is enough, honsetly

NO
they have cash to resign him, no reason to deal him

Yeah most definitely not

Well yea. You would need to throw in major league cost controlled talent like adding both Pederson and puig. Seager, urias, puig, and Pederson and that's just for starters

Any theoretical deal would need three teams involved for them to get the right kind of return IMO
Just not that many teams that can offer what it would take, then the question becomes why blow it up?

The only realistic teams who can get him are big spending market teams who can spend money on replenishing their farm systems

just telling ya, if I'm trading the best player in baseball in his age-24 season, Joc Pederson and Yasiel Puig don't come to mind as centerpieces I want in return.

The Cubs are probably the only ones who I think could offer what would be deemed as fair with all the young ML talent they have plus prospects. Maybe the Dodgers
But if you're the Cubs, why blow up your young homegrown core for one player? Even if it is the best player on the planet I don't know that it gets you closer to a championship plus all the chemistry factors

He's going to the Yankees when he becomes a FA in 2020 when he's 28.

I guess. Those pieces don't move the needle for me.
All have major question marks

Problem with the Dodgers is we don't have great, cost controlled, talent. Once you get past puig you are looking at pederson and seager who are still question marks on what their value is
