NFL Films clearly thinks Peyton is going to retire. They put together this tribute to his many records, and had the likes of Dan Marino, Brett Favre, Fran Tarkenton, Joe Namath, Steve Young, Warren Moon, John Elway, and Dan Fouts discuss it.
They comment on his many records and what it takes to achieve them. Namath and Young say he changed the game and that Brady and Rodgers and others built off of what Manning started.
Joe Namath, "The legacy of Peyton Manning is he changed the game more than anyone I have ever seen...Peyton Manning changed the game."
Fran Tarkenton, "Nobody has played the position better than Peyton Manning."
It is a great tribute to a great QB, regardless of where you rank him among the greats.

The NFL has shite like this down to a science.
It's crazy how their marketing department is run by geniuses while public relations is run by complete idiots.

quote:What I find amazing about the detractors is the comparisons to Tom Brady. In case they haven't noticed, the Patriots, and Brady, have adopted the techniques attributed to Manning by those who played the position at elite levels in the past. Imitation really is the sincerest form of flattery.
