Ariza wasn't as good as people expected him to be. Obviously posey wasn't either.

It doesn't matter who the regime was I'm saying be wary of the guy with a limited role on a great team. Barnes is not a special player IMO and him being ok golden state makes him look like a better player than he would be on another team. Like Ariza on the lakers or posey w the celts.

There's also always a chance he could break out as a more featured piece.

I really want batum if we are dead set on spending on a wing.

Unfortunately for us, Ariza's worst years of his career were the two he spent in NOLA. His best 2 years were the years after he left us and went to washington. He fell off a bit now that he's back in Houston, but still greatly outperforming his Hornets tenure.

I know Nate Duncan mentioned that we would have around 20 million in free cap space.

AFter 23,000 posts, you finally made a decent one. I tend to agree with you here that Barnes isn't a special player and I would be hesitant to throw that kind of money at him.

The Posey comparison doesn't work though. Barnes is a young player not even in his prime yet. Posey was exiting his.
