DDNS Services - Looking for a cheap/free option

We don't really need DDNS but we've had issues with IP addresses changing and not knowing the IP changed until someone tries to remote into their PC. Just playing around I set one up with No-IP and the dynamic update client running on my PC. One thing I didn't notice until today is that with the free edition the hostnames are deleted after 30 days.
Now the enhanced is only $20 a year but like I said it's not a necessity and is only to make things easier for my users (i.e., keep them from calling me on the weekend).
If I can't find a decent free service I'll likely upgrade to the enhanced version of No-IP but does anyone use or know of a completely free DDNS service with a dynamic update client?

Check out www.dnsomatic.com. Also, check what DDNS providers your router supports. I have my router update dnsomatic, and it updates my domain that I have registered with namecheap.com. I used to use DynDNS until it went pay.

Afraid.org plus dnsomatic is the correct answer.
Set it up and forget about it. No bullshite login every 30 day crap.

Dnsomatic must handle that then because I haven't logged in to the website once after I set things up a year ago.

I had my IP not updating for awhile due to reinstalling pc, maybe thats why I was getting emails then.

The free no-ip service will only delete your service after 30 days if you don't log in and verify that you're still using it. All it is is a CAPTCHA verification.

I know I just want something that I never have to think about because I don't want calls on nights or weekends telling me there's a problem.
