I'll never forget the way they shut down the '95 Indians...one of the most dominant lineups 1-9 that I have seen.

But LA has been great recently, and that Mets squad is something else (though still young and with only one great year under their belts).

Not sure I totally agree with that. Middle relief, max pitch counts, etc didn't even exist 20 years ago, let along fifty years ago. Guys used to throw well over 100 pitches consistently, and they went on less rest.

yes, but I am bias also.
We also gotta remember how small the strike zone has become in the modern era as opposed to the 1950's and before. It is a hitters league!
