Depth wins conference championships. If your second line is d league quality because that's all you can afford, then you'll win a ton of games, but it will be difficult to win championships.

If I'm warriors I much prefer what I have now, versus shipping off half the team to land durant.

Also, when you tie that much money up in a small percentage of your roster, injuries hurt so much more. You don't want your second or third guy off the bench to be a league minimum caliber player.


Not saying they'd be bad. Just saying attempting to improve on what they currently have by replacing 3 solid players with one superstar is asking for trouble.
