We have 2 committed.... Arandas' scheme calls for 4 at times. We're already very thin there. Are some of the DE's able to move...???

Also, taking so many corners...says will be in 5&10 while in base 3/4..??? Is that possible..???

Anyway...really would like to see one more.

Expect to see a couple of the DE's move to OLB.

3

Thornton is a LB 100%

and most hope that D White will be a LB, so that would make 4

And Andre Anthony would make a perfect rush end in a 3/4

so...

I think Aranda can coach different schemes and played the 34 defense at Wis bc of the personnel on the roster. At least that's what I was led to believe by some of the quotes I've read.

That being said, some of the DEs will play standing up. I would almost guarantee in a 34, he would use Key at OLB.

To answer your main question though, I'm not sure about the LB recruitment.

I think most recruiting sites had Beckwith listed as a DE.

I bet we put someone like C. Thomp in at some 3-4 situations

Reading about his defenses, guys on our roster fit exactly what he used at wisky for his 2-4-5 scheme.

We need another. I like the two we have now, but they both played rushing the edge a lot. Need someone in the middle.

This isn't necessarily true. He uses whatever scheme works best for the personnel he has. He used different schemes at each school he's coached at if I'm correct.

3 linemen, 4 linebackers and either 5 or 6 defensive backs will almost certainly result in a "too many men on the field" penalty, baw.

Tennessee tried that shite one time against us and it didn't work.
