By the time Miles got on the field he was a senior. He started with both wrestling and playing football. Wasn't getting anywhere with the football and quit wrestling. We know he was able to get lower than the opponent.

I worked on a project with Dave Manders who was the center of the Dallas Cowboys '72 super bowl team. He is a Landscape Contractor in DFW now. He is not a big guy. Maybe 6' tall and 200 lbs.

If Miles wrestled seriously enough to make a college team like Michigan (even if he wasn't a star), that's a lot of the answer. Wrestlers have great core strength and understand leverage much better than "just" football players. That explains his love of the Big Cat drills.
It's a shame that wrestling is a vanishing sport
