Do antidepressants really help? What does it feel like when they work?

Good question. In my case I think that they've helped to stabilize me, as I said in the OP. I'm still depressed. They haven't fixed that.

Prozac - stabilized (current)
Effexor - horrible side effects
Zoloft - did nothing
Lexapro - did nothing more than Prozac
Wellbutrin - GAVE me panic attacks
Paxil - killed my sex life, couldn't finish
Celexa - did nothing

could be forgetting some. It's been a long time.

Agree with you 100% on these. The only problem i probably had is I did not take them long enough.

I have always found that if I keep myself busy inside and outside of work I dont focus on the issues that are going on . It helps me stay focused and not dwelling on the fact that Im depressed. In my opinion meds dont help worth a shite, but dealing with depression/anxiety for so long now makes me think I need to try another one in order to help fix the problem (Meds are not the end all be all cure for it in any way, but they can be a shoulder to lean on)

Why'd you ignore my post?

Thought this thread was to try to help each other

Have you ever tried abilify with your Prozac?
