I'm sorry but Oklahoma has a guy better than Ben and a better game coach. I watched part of their early week game to see what LSU will face. That guy shot several 3's in one q'ter. It'll be tuff to win that one.

SEC bball is as strong as I can remember top to bottom. It leaves a bit more margin for error than most seasons. Here's hoping we don't need any of that and continue to grow as a team to be reckoned with

Tue, Jan 26 Georgia
Sat, Jan 30 Oklahoma
Tue, Feb 02 at Auburn
Sat, Feb 06 Mississippi St.
Wed, Feb 10 at South Carolina
Sat, Feb 13 Texas A&M
Wed, Feb 17 Alabama
Sat, Feb 20 at Tennessee
Tue, Feb 23 at Arkansas
Sat, Feb 27 Florida
Tue, Mar 01 Missouri
Sat, Mar 05 at Kentucky

Those are your most likely losses...we could split OU/A&M at home though...we can also beat Kentucky but lose to UF or Bama, etc.

But I'm looking at 4 more conferences losses to finish 12-6. That's a good season if we hadn't shite the bed early. However, we should get the tourney nod having Simmons and having lost so many without two starters.

Finishing very strong means a lot to the tournament committee. Especially with a young team that starts to put it all together fairly late. The committee wants competitive games in the tournament. For teams on the bubble [and LSU will perhaps be that even at 14-4], what one does in February and in their Conference Tournament means a lot.

Indiana and UCLA made the tourny last year and were 20-13. Even if we go 7-5 the rest of the way and win 1-2 games in the Sec tournament we'll be fine.
