Just listened to this classic. Really believe this was an underrated and underappreciated effort by VH.

I agree. There are some very un-VH type songs on this album that I think keeps it in the underrated category.

It is almost as good as Fair Warning- The most underrated VH album.

For many years I would have said it was my favorite VH album. Of of their best for sure.

Got it the day it came out when I was a kid. Everybody was excited to hear it but a lot of people, including myself, thought it was a bit of a letdown. Took me a while to appreciate it and now I feel like it's a really creative record and maybe the most "alternative" of their catalog which makes me dig it more all the time.
Big controversy of the vinyl: instead of an inner sleeve it had a giant poster of DLR shirtless and chained to a fence in some kind of weird BDSM/beefcake pose. A LOT of my friends instantly started hating him because of the poster. It didn't sit well that he was so pervy and hypersexualized. Rumors of him being gay started there.

Love the album, and Take Your Whiskey Home is one of my favorites
