I like the split. I don't understand how people don't get the fact that public schools feel as though they play with players they are given while the private schools can cherry pick players and students from many school districts.
I also think most public schools would not be affected by a private school pull out. I think many private schools in BR would lose students they might typically get by people moving to the surrounding parishes after time. LA would eventually turn more like MS and TN.
Not sure how many city BR schools Catholic and Episcopal play every year.

It is really difficult to change someone's mind on this one. If someone really wants the split you can't change their mind. If someone really does not want the split you can change their mind. I think this is really going to create a bigger divide between the select and non select schools.

You seem very naive to the realities of the magnet programs and charter schools recruiting that takes place in the larger metro areas..

When I played football we got knocked out by a private every year. Parkview in the quarters freshman year, parkview in the dome sophomore, and St Charles catholic in the second round junior year. My senior year when I wasn't playing the got beat by notre dame in the first round.

With that being said the split was idiotic and a massive fail.
A) the play offs should be a reward for having a great season not something that's handed to you for participating

B) yea privates can recruit but to be the best you have to beat the best.

C) 9 champions is entirely too much for Louisiana
