Nike Inc. has agreed to a $252 million deal with Ohio State University to extend its existing sponsorship by 15 years, escalating an arms race among sportswear makers and top sports schools.
In the past year, Nike has also signed a 15-year, $250 million renewal with the University of Texas at Austin and reached an 11-year, $169 million deal with the University of Michigan, Ohio State’s rival. Nike takes over the contract with the Wolverines after the school’s current deal with Adidas AG expires this year.

Can't argue what Nike is doing but I really think under armor has marketing way smarter than Nike. Under armor goes after few schools but they have gone after the players that the very young generation loves.
Spieth and curry perfect examples. They are absolutely loved by the really young kids so they are all decked out in UA gear not Nike. They have gone all in on these kids choosing UA over Nike when they become older and it's incredible smart IMO.
Sorry if this is clusters. Just kinda free balled it on my phone
Obviously people are always gonna by their team stuff. But it's just interesting to look at their different views

Meanwhile the student-athletes are really enjoying their free t-shirt and baseball cap.

Most people I see are repping Nike stuff. Not too much UA.

The deal is a winner for Ohio State.
Your title choice is a big fricking loser.

Yeah, they should all quit and not put up with the horrible mistreatment I'm sure all of the OSU athletes receive. If they quit then they get to go play school without any distractions.

for as much success as ohio state has, it is quite amusing how insecure their fans appear to be on this board in their attempts to "prove" how great they are.

I thought this thread was going to be about the hiring of Coach Stud.
