To not look at Sly with his recruiting potential is stupid. High school recruits talk well of him even if they don't sign with them.

There are no black coaches with a good enough resume to be given a chance at a prestigious football program. Sly Croom is one of the better ones, but that isn't saying much.

We are LSU. We don't hire coaches with losing records regardless of how much we like them.
You don't hire coaches who are not one of the top coaches. Ex. Smoke Laval.
You hire the resume and the best damn coach out there.

Sly is my second favorite coach in the SEC. If we were to hire a coach from the SEC, he's my guy.
However, do we want to hire a guy that's only winning 1/3 of his games? Doesn't that put somebody under the gun if he doesn't work out?

You know what so funny that the last 4 coaches we hired didn't have superb records prior coming to LSU.
Curley Hallman-S. Miss (Perhaps barely won a conference USA title)
Gerry Dinardo-Vanderbilt (Yea he won a SEC Title or so, LOL!!)
Nick Saban-Michigan State: He prayed to win the infamous Big 10
"Lesse" Michigan Dude Miles-Oklahoma State: He Beat Texas and Oklahoma Every year; LOL!!
Just be real that a Black Coach isn't wanted at LSU; This is the reason fans like you understand why the national media don't give LSU love. They just assume we are a bunch of racist backwards coon-asses chasing aligators and chickens!!!
