Any sacalait reports coming out of the pipeline canal or surrounding canals? Was gonna take a trip Monday morning. Its a little over an hour drive for me so I'm just wondering how the fishing has been. Any info would be appreciated. Any spots would be more appreciated.

If you can find good water you might do ok .. With the front just coming through the fish might move deep .. I know a few people been going and it's tough just to find good water

I went to the camp Wednesday and came back Thursday after the rain. Very little bank if any in pipeline canal, water in the canal itself was chocolate milk. We fished well south ( almost to lake carencro) for bass and only caught one. Water color was perfect and pulling in the marsh at the time. Three of us fished for about 2.5 hours, our main goal was rabbits.

Water is really high and dirty. That said a guy at the camp caught two bass in about an hour and a half yesterday. I will be driving back down the pipeline canal around 10 today.

Lake bouef .. You can literally walk across the boats because they "hear they biting". Just hope you don't catch more then 2 and someone sees you, it's all over after that!

yea, lake bouef got hammered in the last couple months. you need to fish a while to catch a few.

They had few spots on the pipeline where the water was pulling out the marsh that it looked really good.

False.
You can walk boat to boat in the mornings though. There's a period from around 2pm - dark where there are only a few boats and you can still do pretty well.

Not sure about Bayou Black, but wanted to brag on my son's catch the other day. He caught this sac a lait at a retention pond behind our house, in a master planned subdivision just outside Houston. He also caught 3 bass and a gar the same day. That kid loves to fish.

grew up in Lowland baw. You can easily find this spot by locating the 1-10 trucks found on the side the road every day and night...got me stumped on the waterplant side unless its in ponds.

inlaws live 2 or 3 houses down from bayou blue bypass and Burma. lived in some of their rent houses off the bypass.
ha, just went look, I meant bayou blue bypass, not waterplant.

Ive caught many a fish in hollywood canal by Bayou Blue Bypass, also on Bobcat lane right around the corner. I actually dropped off 10 hammer sacalait that I didnt want to clean a couple weeks ago off Bobcat, while going visit my parents like we do every Sunday.

we used to go crawfishing off the side of the road, well they had like 4 cars parked by that culvert. made the wife pull over so I can ask what the hell they were all doing. had no clue people fished there

Crawfished in those roadside ditches since I was 3-4yo. Have pulled plenty sacks out of them. In the last 15 years I think they got fished out so hard by the St. Charles bypass crew. Same thing with the sacs, once its on, the St. Charles Bypass crew is there 24/7 until they aint no mo!! I can remember one night catching over 180 sacalait and bar bass with my dad and brother.

i never really fished for sacs and bass except the past few years since I moved up the bayou, still getting the hang of it.
and I figured it was locals who fished that, seems like every time we pass I ask my wife if theres a broken down car or truck, but its just someone from the bypass fishing or crawfishing

It all ties into the 40 arpent canal and hollywood canal, which dont get fished much if any. So certain times, you can nail them.

I'm going to look at google earth one day and give you a shout. might get my wife to dump me off with a pirogue off the bridge on the bypass and see what I can catch going down there.
had a pond with some crawfish on it behind my inlaws warehouse, but since they put a trailer park off the bypass im sure it gets fished out when we aren't around
