What do y'all think about him?

Not enough HC experience.

2 years with one loss... he'd work for me. I trust skip to make the right call. He found Les.

Petersen would RULE. I think the guy is money and RP wins the Heisman if he's here

Sure would be fun to see him work with talent on the offensive side of the ball

Kirk Herbstreit today said that he is the next Spurrier, and would be scary if he were to get with a big program.

He is in a similar situation to where Petrino was 3 years ago. Petrino was my choice when Miles got the job.
For the record I still wish we would have hired Petrino then, but am happy with the way things work out.
That said bring on Peterson (or Del Rio).

What kind of recruiter is he?
It's simply not that hard to recruit at LSU these days.

I think LSU would still be a better fit for a more defensive-minded guy like Del Rio.
Just so people don't think I'm an idiot, it's Petersen with 2 "e"'s.

What!! He predicted four Heismans. I hope RP never sees a playing field again.

I think he would be a solid choice.

Miles had 4 years what is the magic number?
Posted on 11/20/07 at 11:29 pm to bouefbengal
4 is more than 2 though. I think it could be a gamble. I don't know how much experience he has with dealing with gentlemen like Derrick Odom.

Petersen is in my top 7.

True. Big gamble. It'd be an interesting hire.

Chris Peterson is the next Urban Meyer IMO. He got to show his stuff in the BCS and make a big name for the non-BCS conferences. If we don't get him, someone else will.
Good news is, he played at UC-Davis, so I doubt he'd skip out of coaching LSU to go back to his powerhouse of an alma mater haha.

Wouldnt come here.
What makes you throw out a statement like that as fact?
He would have a real hard time turning down our talent, recruiting base, facilities, fan, communitiy, and school support oh and 2+ mil a year.
