PSA to custodial staff/building admins out there

The outside temperature dropping does NOT mean that the temperature inside needs to be raised.
Just got to the office and the heater is set on like 77.

Lol. Yes it does. If you want to be 70 inside and it's 45 outside you better have the termstat at least 77 to get close to that internal temp when you factor in windows and heat loss from the entry doors opening.

My building was sitting at 79 when I walked in and the receptionist had on a freaking sweater. My actual office thermostat was off all weekend so it was a toasty 61 this morning.

There is a constant battle in my office with the old ladies and the young folks over the thermostat.
The poor admins at the front desk are the middle man. Constant email complaints to raise or lower it

Thankfully the new office I just started working at doesn't really have an issue with this.
My last job had women in the office that would dress like Eskimos during the summer months. I don't understand how female body temperature works.
