You have a lovely way with words.

What's wrong with it? From the Arabic "muwallad", then from the Spanish "mulato".

What is the PC term then?
Creole?
That's not really accurate in my understanding of the term.
mixed race sounds offensive to my ears...

I don't know why it's offensive, really. Is "mixed race" different than "bi-racial" (two races)?
In South America, "mestizo" or "castizo" was used until it became almost impractical because being Spanish is not really a race, it's an ethnicity. It became impractical because, as long as you weren't negro, it was really hard to differentiate between the two once the mid to higher economic classes were more than just white.

Oops.
Watching a girl vomit to death is a bit more incompetent than a girl hanging herself.
One can be done quickly and sneakily, the other takes time.
Working in the ER for years and seeing the bullshite that cops bring in, it amazes me that people die from withdrawals. They usually send everything out. Even total bullshite.
If the white girl has family who will raise a stink it will gain traction. Bland has family half way across the country.

I believe benzos withdrawals can be fatal. I've always heard opiate withdrawals won't actually kill you, they'll only make you wish you were dead.
Yep. Benzo withdrawal and booze withdrawal can be fatal. Opiate withdrawal just makes you wish for death.
Yes, I just said exactly what you did.

Won't likely make much news bc she's white, but honestly I don't care. She was a junkie, and junkies are a danger to society. Good riddance.

no. No history of drugs in my immediate family. That's just how I feel and I understand I'm in the minority now days. I won't bend on my beliefs to fit what's cool though.

It's also disturbing that he doesn't feel officers/guards in jails/prisons aren't responsible for the safety/health of the inmates.

I actually do feel they are. Doesn't mean I'm sad that another drain on society is gone.

Also to be clear, speaking from experience. I was a CO at a state prison for a couple years when I was younger and had a guy attempt suicide in my presence. He was talking to me and crying about his deteriorating medical condition and tried to cut his throat. I wrestled a razor out of his hands and got him restrained and all he had was a very small cut. This is not a bragging post at all. It's to explain that, yes, I do feel officers are responsible for inmate safety.
