Exactly. Everything that happened in this perfect narrative was virtually instantaneous. Mostly because the known-to-be incompetent keystone cops charged up on the scene in a ridiculously reckless fashion.

Admittedly, I haven't seen the video as I cannot view it at work. However, from reading about it from multiple sources, it seemed logical and conclusive that the kid reached for his waistband.

Doesn't take but 1-2 seconds for someone to reach for a gun and for you to decide to defend yourself with a weapon.

If the sources are wrong and the kid put his hands up and/or did not reach for his waistband, then this ruling is bogus.
