I don't think the kid was old enough to know what he was doing. I don't think he has any blame here.

Not even a little bit? I think it is terrible a 14 year old lost his life but you don't think there is any part of this issue that he is accountable for?

bullshite. My 7 year old and 4 year old kids know better. This kid was told by the person who gave him the toy to be careful because it looked real. Knowing that it looked like the real deal he proceeded to walk around town like he was playing Grand Theft Auto and scaring people with it. Bad parenting breeds a host of morons with bad judgment. This is more prevalent today because the bulk of society never takes off their training wheels to force people to pay for their screw-ups.

No one likes seeing children pay the ultimate price for terrible parenting, but I'd rather read about a cop doing his frigging job than a juvenile shooting him because of a lapse in judgement.
