So it would only be 50$ for the same 3gb plan i have with verizon for 100$?

Why is this not more mainstream?

Yep. That is the exact plan I have. I have gone over my 3GB this month but it only adds on like it would have cost you if you chose the 4GB. So I am at 3.35Gb right now and am being charged $3.52 for the overage hahaa. Pretty awesome.

Very cool. When using Fi do you prefer to use hangouts or Google messenger? I know with hangouts it allows you to text using any of your devices but that does use your data.
I tried Hangouts when I went to Fi but eventually switched back to Messenger. I like that messenger has the quick pop up reply, and I didn't see that with Hangouts.

but I also don't know much about the whole sync thing with Hangouts, so i'll read up on it in that link posted in this thread as well.

Ah, good timing. Time to give it another whirl.

Thanks!

You're paying $100 with verizon for 3gb? I thought it was $45?

But even if you were paying only $45 with verizon, you would only come out ahead if you use between 2.5 and 3gb every month. If you use less than 2.5gb, google gives you a refund and charges less than $45. Between 2.5 and 3gb, google would charge $45-50 depending on use, so verizon comes out cheaper. But over 3gb, verizon starts tacking on $15/gig, so 3.1gb costs $51 with google, but $60 with verizon.

Thinking about switching 2 Verizon plans to Fi. From the math I've done, I could pay nearly the same rate with Fi and that would include new phones rolled into the monthly rate. Just worried about a service do off.
