Yeah, just a single switch. The old single blub fixture had the two white (grey) wires screwed into it with a connecting metal piece and the red was on another one.

Let's make sure I have this straight. Connect my two new light fixtures' black wires with the red and the whites with the whites (grey) and green with ground?

I'm using 14 gauge romex to run from the new fixtures to that central spot. I put in gang boxes where I connected the romex to the fixtures. I'm going to put a plate over the area in the picture since I won't need the single bulb fixture anymore.

yes. if the black was capped when you pulled the other light off, leave it capped (i would add some electrical tape over it just to be safe, but i'm cautious with electricity).

connect all whites together and your blacks from the lights to the red. green goes to green.
