Isn't that always the goal, though? I know you can't win it every year but as a coach you shoukd at least see why you're not and address the problem in an effort to. I like Les but I think he shies away from addressing the real issues and just blames it on injuries.

Everyone has their own style. Being negative toward his coaches and players is not in Miles' DNA. He takes all the blame and gives away all the credit. U don't have to like it; it's how he manages his program. He didn't go the negative route even when his supervisors were stabbing him in the back and just leaving him dangling in the wind in front of the entire college football world. Which was despicable. He's been here for 11 years. Do you think he is going to change because the ignorant and ungrateful in here think he should? He is absolutely the most comfortable person in his own skin and never sweats anything. And hes the most genuine Head Coach in the power 5. And most importantly He's an LSU man, unlike his bosses, who continue to take very little bashing in here for acting like rookie jackasses toward one of our own. But yet no one in here criticizes these outsiders but are quick to jump on Les for being real and himself. just like this silly little quote the op posted has already made it on the rant and most responders are critical of how he answered the question. We're going to miss Les 2 years from now, I assure u. Anyone paying attention to what's going on at Florida or A&m after the AD handed them Miles DC in late December? Mullen was interviewing for another job? Richlt fired, spurrier quit, Pinkel retired. Les is special and it's why LSU is going to it's 16th consecutive bowl with one of the most difficult yearly schedules.

Yes, of course, because proper explanations in the media is exactly what cost us those three games. Our running game wasn't stuffed by Bama's front 7 working against a depleted blocking crew, we were shut down by the fact that Miles didn't properly allocate responsibility in his public statements. It wasn't inaccurate passing and drops that made our offense somewhat one-dimensional and ineffective during much of November, it was the fact that we, the public, weren't given the proper insight by Coach Miles into what was going on with the team. Yeah, you're totally right; Miles' really should fix the team's problems by making better statements to the media.
