Why would you applaud faith? Because he sticks to it despite a lot of evidence contradicting it?

No. Regardless of how valid you, I, or anyone perceives it to be, I see faith as admirable. Science aside, I honestly can say that I would rather believe in something optimistic for the human race than just presume negativity.
I won't comment on my religious views; although, I simultaneously applaud faith while condemning the ignorance of outdated times (AKA CS Lewis.)
In the end, I don't care what people think. I just don't want people to waste their lives with adamant adherence to something which may or may not be true.
Also, Tbe Wire is the shite.

the fact that you are already trying to enlighten younger people on the teaching of CS Lewis is indicative of a depressing trend that I would not want to be a part of.
What? Why is that depressing?
Posted on 12/17/15 at 12:23 am to HailHailtoMichigan!
I watched the video. I think it simply boils down to does one believe a greater forces influences the universe or does believe the universe has an endpoint, a place where expansion and further creation do not exist.

To me, this is depressing with regards to the way that the American youth is trending. I guess I don't see blind religiosity as a favorable characteristic of an emerging American who relies on reason rather than rhyme. This isn't the way that the country's youth is going. This may, however, be a trend that you don't like. Whether you disagree with the merit of these statements obviously determines whether or not you perceive the forced reliance on "scholars" like CS Lewis to be a good thing or a bad thing.
There's probably a generational gap.

Why do you assume millennials are ignorant of C.S. Lewis?
Well, it is a fair viewpoint. They no longer teach dogma in schools.

Watched the whole thing. It wasn't at all moving. Then it finished up with some slight of hand bullshite that inferred some shitty generality about all 10,000 years of the Middle Ages.
This is why atheists can be so confident in the absurdity of the religion stories. Even when they get a chance to lecture, the religious can't make a decent argument.
