re: Statistically, Cam is nowhere near the MVP

He has been, but he also benefits from an unreal defense that has forced 33 turnovers this season
He also loses out with unreal receivers. They are easily worst in the league. Ted Gin is his #1 wide receiver.

How is it an idiotic argument when you are talking value to the team? Having a tight end like Gronk changes the way the entire defense plays. The Patriots are a different team without him. His value is not just straight stats just like a qb like Cam's value is not just stats.
And should having a good defense disqualify you from being MVP? When you are talking about value to a team having a quarterback like Cam effects the entire team.

Because you used gronk being out and losing to say he's more valuable than Brady when you have to assume the following:
1.) They wouldn't have lost with Gronk
2.) That they would have won without Brady

You keep attempting to make arguments for other people. And we've seen this D play great with struggling offense before
Should having a good TE disqualify you for being MVP? Derp

Carson Palmer is the MVP

Stats don't mean anything. Especially in football. IMO he is the mvp and it's really not close. The team is all about what this kid has grown into. He makes players around him more focused and ready every week.

There y'all have it. Dukke V agrees with y'all. Clearly the right opinion

A decent choice . But playing on zona hurts his cause. Not fair but that's the way it is. If Carolina somehow losses the next three then Palmer has a shot.

Why is that?

Without Cam the Panthers are a 7 win team max. They're undefeated right now. He's the most valuable player in the league

When your good tight end completely changes the game and your own qb play then maybe it should. Is it really that crazy to think that one of the most unguardable players the NFL has ever seen is more valuable than Tom Brady at the moment?

Yes. The last time a Brady led team won less than 10 games was 2002. Pretty damn consistent. So yes, itnis crazy to think that one of the greatest QBs the NFL has ever seen is less valuable than a TE.
Is it really crazy to think that having a defense that causes more turnovers than any other in the NFL is more valuable than Cam Newton?
Probably yes too, but since you're being inconsistent with logic, let's go with it

Brilliant criteria
Guess Palmer should have won last year

Kind of like they were with Cam and more weapons last year?

The MVP is -- or should be -- for the player of most value to his team. If that's Cam, or a linebacker on a team that's 4-12, so be it.

Don't know about MVP but this throw and catch were ridiculous.

Jimmy Graham was pretty unguardable in NOLA. I think we know who made that relationship work.

Nope they could win without him and he is unbearable to watch or listen to
Posted on 12/14/15 at 4:51 pm to DeoreDX
Looks like a lucky type of throw to me. I don't think he makes that throw but maybe 1/10 times with all hat's going on in it.
2 guys had to JUSTTTTT miss.
