Would be an absolute home run.

Wow. Would be a bit of a downgrade for him imo with what he's built at GSU

He didn't excite me much. Antiquated offense (we've had a decade of antiquated offense). Ga Sou got decidedly worse this year.

I concur, would be a home run hire. For some reason of morbid curiosity, I followed Tulane this season, they had a pretty respectable defense and an absolutely putrid offense. The triple option would actually be a good fit for Tulane's current roster.

I also noticed that they have only 1 player on the roster from Texas, a transfer kicker....Fritz's Tx ties could help bolster the talent level. You are 4 hours from the TX border and 1 damn player from a traditionally talent rich state, amazing.

A triple-option team wins 7-8 games a year. That means consecutive bowl games, and that's HUGE.

Tulane needs to go through post-Dickson/Cowen rehab. A good defense + decent option attack is an EXCELLENT starting point.

When is the last time that Tulane has been consistently decent?

Why would he leave Southern for Tulane haha. What a dumb move on his part.

To be clear he isn't like a Georgia Tech triple option guy. He runs a shite ton of zone, with receiver motions that work as a pitch guy if the QB pulls.

Chip Kelly ran a lot of the same stuff at Oregon. Fritz has an awesome offense. Lots of misdirection all based off of zone.
