received an email last week from the Baton Rouge Blues society stating the festival will be 2 days Sat. and Sunday in April. I'll give the new 2 day line-up when it comes out ...

Would like to go to this, but it's the same weekend as FQF. F minus planning.

My favorite music event in baton rouge. They have done a great job booking the last few years, hopefully that continues.

Agreed...just like Lafayette's Festival International always conflicting with N.O. Jazz Fest.
April is just WAY too busy with events. Move a couple of them to May!

I enjoyed it last year despite it being indoors. I'm hoping to go see Buddy Guy. Should he good inspiration to get me and my boys pumped up to get in the studio the following week.

Not really. Fqf is insanely packed and not as good as it used to be. Blues fest couldn't have come at a better time.

Should be fun, looks like a solid line-up. I'm totally in for Buddy Guy.
Anybody who likes Hendrix or SRV should be sure to check out Gregg Wright. Badass player and weird backward-strung playing technique to boot.

Bump.
Have seen Buddy Guy before and he's great.
Any other recommendations of people to not miss this weekend?
eta: the kid from this video is opening for Buddy, he's 17 now.

Day one at the main stage was great. Nice variety of acts. Buddy Guy brought the heat. Very enjoyable festival.
