Is it worth waiting until I get to the stadium to buy tickets?

Will the Texas Bowl tickets really be that much cheaper if I take a chance and wait until the night of the game?

I'm sure someone will be giving them away right before game time

The price of the tickets will not change if you're buying from the stadium. On the open market, the price will probably drop. Just check the ticket exchange the day before or day of and you'll be able to get something relatively inexpensive.

Ok yea I'm not talking about buying from the stadium. I was just wondering if there would be that many people selling them outside the stadium for a lower price..

If you're going to buy some off the streets you may need to do it before you're officially on the stadium grounds or parking lots along Kirby or Fannin.

I guess there is always a chance of some tickets being sold then.

Tickets should be easy to get and prices will come down close to game.
There is a lot of LSU fans in that area that will go that don't get to come to BR for many games and who knows what kind of following Texas Tech will bring, I'm sure they have a large presence in Houston as well.
Could end up being a tough ticket depending on where you want to sit.

I stopped buying bowl tickets from LSU years ago because there is always people trying to unload them the week before the game at a fraction of face value.

That;s the problem with all bowls, the secondary market is a better option for tickets especially for non playoff bowls. You can get them cheaper and better location. They wonder why schools can't sell their allotments anymore, that is why. Plus the Texas Bowl actually sells that two game pack now that includes the kickoff classic and since A&M was in that game this year I bet they bought most of that 55000 that was already sold.

I live in Houston and I can't tell you how many times I said no when people where trying to give away Texas Bowl tickets last year. I think corporations buy them up as sponsors and give them away to people that don't care so they in turn try to get rid of them.

Texas Tech's biggest area is DFW, and it's a short drive from there. Also, lots of Raiders in Houston, too.
This game will easily be sold out on Tech's end, and I expect no less from LSU fans.
That's why I bought mine early, and as soon as the game was announced.

Student ticket for Texas bowl $85 before fees.
Student tickets for entire season. $80
No way I'm paying more for a crappy bowl game than I did for the entire season.

Last year the Longhorns were in it so I don't see much changing this year as far as people dumping 2nd hand tickets.

I would bet anything that you can fine quality lower bowl tickets for $50 two to three hours before kickoff.
I bought four together for the LSU Ole Miss game for 60 each. That was in the grove. That was a very in demand game and in a stadium about half the size.
