Tech was #1 in most 10+ yd plays from LOS (265 plays over 10 yds)
Not necessarily a "dink and dunk" team.
We will run quite a few WR screens (which I really HATE), some drag routes, and some others where our YAC factors in.
We will also throw our share of intermediate passes, and long passes.

BTW, if you like to see very small people have success, then you guys will LOVE watching JAKEEM GRANT in action.
Tech's all time leading receiver, and he's only about 5'7.
I'm not sure about the MOST fans, but there will be some Tech fans (and I imagine some LSU fans, too) who bought their tickets through another Avenue than what the schools sell.
Tech travels pretty well, and for MOST Tech fans, this would be a very short travel...but, a Tuesday night game may be hard for some.
I bought mine online, because I wanted to pick my seats.
When Tech went to the CWS (in 2014) we were VERY well represented.

It's no excuse, but Tech is on its 7th coordinator in 7 yrs (or something like that...I lost count)
Tech has had quite a bit of attrition on that side, and numerous busts, too.
Tech just doesn't have the depth, but we do have some very good, young talent.
Breiden Fehoko, Hinton, Dakota Allen, Nigel Bethel, Jah'Shawn Johnson. And, some other guys who are redshirting this season.

I'd say bout at least half our starters are freshman, rs freshmen, or sophmores.
And, we have a first yr DC....again!
It should be an entertaining game, and unless Tech turns the ball over 3 or 4 times (which is VERY possible), then I just don't see a blowout either way.
LSU will score points on Tech, because that's what the Tech defense does.
Tech will score points on LSU because that's what Tech's offense does.
I see a game where both teams are in the 30's.
A 37-31 type game.
Texas Tech's biggest area is DFW, and it's a short drive from there. Also, lots of Raiders in Houston, too.
This game will easily be sold out on Tech's end, and I expect no less from LSU fans.
That's why I bought mine early, and as soon as the game was announced.
Haha....raiderpower does that for every team.
Next will probably be
Why I hate LSU or something like that!
Actually, the VERY first line that opened had LSU at -5.5.

Well, since we currently only have 2 defensive coaches, it shouldn't be that difficult to pass the "9 in box" thing along.
Hopefully, THAT memo won't get lost....like all the other ones I've sent them!
LOL

LSU is a good program, and I respect what you guys have been able to accomplish.
This will really be a tough task for our guys, and I realize the talent that LSU has been able to stockpile.
Les has done a GREAT job in that regard.
Kingsbury will definitely need to get his guys ready to play, and he will need to be able to come up with a great game plan to try to neutralize your obvious talent advantage.
Also, TTU will absolutely have to be able to run the ball somewhat effectively, and if we can get to about 150 rushing, then that would bode very well for our offense....and we should be able to put up some points against you guys.

Wow, talk about 2 teams matched up that are polar opposites of each other.
TT will come out in a VERY fast paced, hair on fire, throwING all over the place, and running the ball, too.
Tech is a very young team, with a Soph. QB. Sometimes Mahomes tries to do too much, and will turn the ball over. We have quite a bit of speed on offense (Jakeem Grant, Devon Lauderdale, Justin Stockton, and a few other guys who can really run.)
I'm pretty sure LSU will be able to run the ball at will on this Tech defense. Right now, we only have 2 defensive coaches, because 3 were fired day after Thanksgiving. David Gibbs (our DC), and Zack Spavital. Not real sure whats going to happen on that front.
But, just wanted to drop by, say HELLO, and hope for an exciting, and entertaining game.
Injury-free of course!
