I've seen a freezer work outside at a camp in cocodrie for years (bait and ice freezer). Looks like absolute shite and I'm sure it will last much less than half the life of a freezer inside, but it's still kicking after 4 or 5 years of staring at the saltwater marsh. And it was a hand-me-down as well, so no telling how old it was to begin with.

My uncle has one outside his shop, the freezer has been outside 12-15 years and some how it hasn't missed a beat.
