I think you hold out to see if any imports come over? I don't remember the rules on imports though

I think the player has to be signed to a team before the draft to be eligible that year.

Correct. The longer we wait to draft, the greater number of imports that will be eligible for the upcoming season.

Plus the longer we wait gives me more time to decide which of my shitty players I will drop to make room for the new draftees. Looking at my roster, I have a whole team of shitty players to choose from.

I'm not against it but I'm so short at SP that, until my DL clears up and/or I get some MiLB callups, I really can't afford to move him preseason.
