This thread interests me as well as Im looking at the exact same thing.
2016 Tacoma/Canyon/Colorado
To be honest all 3 look frickin awesome. I think Id be happy pulling a name from a hat
Same here. But what has me leaning heavy toward Tacoma is resale value. From what I've read, they hold their value much better than the other 2. And, Toyota reputation on quality.
I can't believe what used Toyota Tacomas sell for. Am I wrong anyone, do Canyon/Colorado do the same? I sincerely don't know. Their interior is def nicer.

i think it's a known for tacoma's, but unknown for the others. gm just started building them again this year, so it will take a couple years to get a good idea about resale. if they are reliable (which they will likely be), i imagine they will hold their value pretty well, if not quite as much as the taco. if it were me, i'd just buy the one i liked driving better

I think right now the gmc/Chevy have a better package and look better unless you are a heavy off roader.
However, if resale value is your top concern go with Toyota. It will hold its value much better if not simply because of its multiple decades worth of proven resale value and longevity.
I think the Toyota looks dated but because of that it still resembles 10 year old trucks. I wish they would do a complete remodel of the taco rather then freshening it up like they just did.
