OK, I may not be great with semantics...Driving to Arkansas or Nevada, or California to take your vehicle off of the roads...To do so you should buy trail guides...most trail guides rate trails 1-10, but in the descriptive guidebooks they often stay at 5 or under (since you need other people and expertise to venture further).

ETA: We were on the East side of the Sierras, so I highlighted those trails, but my truck is more than capable to handle anything in those two books...which is a lifetime of trips out there for me. Trails...off-road...IDK.

You surely get by now that you have slightly different tastes and hobbies than most people in the south right?

Most people need a 4x4 to go "off road" as in a muddy but flat trail that doesn't consist of rocks or steep climbs or desert trail running that I'm sure your Tacoma excels in.

This man most likely just needs it to go low and slow and not get stuck.
